Hi, I’m Polly!
It’s great to meet you.
I grew up in London, met my husband Toby in Cornwall and never really went back. We live in a fishing village on the south coast of Cornwall with our son and ageing Bullmastiff x Rhodesian Ridgeback called Bear.
I take photographs all the time, always have and always will. I do it to make sense of the world around me, record what I want to share with others, and to acknowledge the wonders of everyday life – connections between people, the beauty in nature and the wonder of architecture and human creations.
As a child I wanted to meet everyone in the world. I soon realised this was quite a tall order, but my cameras are my back stage passes into the lives and locations of others. I get to meet so many amazing people, experience new cultures and the life stories and experiences of others, whilst discovering new places too.
I love to bring people together, make them feel included, add joy and light to their lives and encourage their creations and goals.
I love to witness and capture the joy that one person can create in another, capture interactions, emotions and laughter between friends, adoration from parents, affection, chemistry and banter between couples.
When I’m not photographing other people’s lives, I am back in Cornwall with my boys, muddling our way though parenthood and the lessons of life and making the most of our amazing coastline and countryside. I love to get my city fix, yet equally love the feeling of walking on the moors or beaches to remind me just how amazing this wonderful world of ours is.
